Do you have a question? Please let us know!

  1. How often does a vacuum pump need maintenance?
    "

This depends on the type of installation, the number of running hours and the application.

    • We advise having the installation inspected periodically
    • Maintenance is then scheduled in good time, at a moment that disrupts your production process as little as possible
    "
  2. Can maintenance be carried out on site?
    "

Yes. Depending on the installation we carry out maintenance on site or in our own workshop.

    "
  3. Does DOVAC also supply original spare parts?
    "

Yes. DOVAC holds a large stock of original spare parts and original oil for a wide range of vacuum pumps and blowers.

    • Perfect fit and retention of the original performance
    • Maximum operational reliability and a longer service life
    • Less risk of failure than with imitation parts
    "
  4. Does DOVAC also carry out repairs and overhauls?
    "

Yes. In addition to preventive maintenance we provide:

    • inspections
    • repairs
    • complete overhauls of industrial vacuum pumps and blowers
    "
  5. How do I know that my vacuum pump or blower needs maintenance?
    "

Wear develops gradually and is often not immediately visible. Watch for these signs:

    • increasing energy consumption
    • lower vacuum or air output
    • unusual noise or more vibration
    • higher operating temperature
    • oil leakage or contaminated filters
    • longer start-up time or fluctuating performance

Do you recognise one or more of these signs? Have the installation inspected before small deviations turn into major consequences.

  7. What happens during a DOVAC maintenance service?
    "

Our service engineers follow a fixed procedure:

    • visual inspection and safe shutdown
    • disassembly, cleaning and inspection of the filters
    • oil change where necessary
    • check of bearings, seals and rotating parts
    • fitting of original spare parts
    • ultimate pressure check and performance test
    • test run, final check and reporting

The installation is only released for use once all measurements are in order.

    "
  8. Does DOVAC also service pumps of other brands?
    "

Yes. Our service engineers service and overhaul installations from a wide range of manufacturers every day:

    • oil-lubricated and dry vacuum pumps
    • liquid ring pumps
    • side channel blowers
    • turbo blowers
    "
  9. May I use a different oil myself?
    "

We recommend using original oil to the factory specification only. Oil does more than lubricate:

    • cooling
    • sealing
    • protection against wear
    • removal of contamination

The food industry adds a separate requirement: a food grade or approved mineral oil, so that a drop of oil or oil mist in the surroundings is not a risk.
